Attachments /
There are 2 ways to view email attachments in the Liberty viewer.
Option 1: Integrated
If you are running BlackBerry OS 5.0 or later, Liberty
will automatically download the attachment to the BlackBerry and present the
attachment in it's native application to the user.
NOTE: For BES/Enterprise email
Your BlackBerry must be activated on BES 4.1.6 or later and have the required IT Policies set
[consult your BlackBerry
Enterprise Server administrator's guide for configuring native attachment
downloads to the handheld].
If you are running a version of BES less than 4.1.6 or you have BlackBerry devices that are running BlackBerry OS less than 5.0, install the Bayalink Enterprise Attachment Service behind your firewall. Information on this option can be found here.
Option 2: Two Step
Step 1 - Download the email attachment with your thumbs to your BlackBerry storage.
Step 2 - Use the Liberty File Explorer which allows you to navigate the storage on your BlackBerry. You can then open any attachment you saved in step 1.
